Oh my god…
Oh my god ... just get past these ... oh my god ... ( louder sound of a blaze ) ... firefighters are in for a very long evening. Along with the terrain and very high winds it is a massive fight! The fires are swirling a lot in the area ... which is making it more erratic ... unpredictable. Fires combined with hurricane force winds make it extremely dangerous! With the very high winds it is impossible to use an air assault on the wildfires. The biggest thing is human and pet safety first ... that is the first priority ... and then properties. The biggest thing is to make sure residents and others are evacuated out of the area. People need to get somewhere safe and let the firefighters and fire experts do their work. Imagine a half dozen very wide tornadoes of fire ... that's what it is. What about all the helicopters used to douse wildfires? They are set to go when they are able to. They have to wait until the winds die down. Those whipping flames and embers are very dangerous! This could be the start of something worse. All of the homes and buildings in the area are very close to each other ... and all of the vegetation has not received any rain since the end of spring. The thick vegetation in-between that is bone dry as in Atacama palm leaf is potent fuel for starting fires. No one thought that a big fire could jump over the Pacific Coast Highway but it did. Where and how far this fire is going to go that is the big question. Hopefully the fires do not spread to Santa Monica. That would be even more horrific. Fire trucks have to carefully make their way on narrow winding roads ... it is the worst kind of topography to fight a fast spreading fire. On the ground firefighters are trying their best to fight this ~ unprecedented ... catastrophic ... disaster of such immense scale and severity.
