Threads of Light
Brrd Roots ~ Free-Verse
Threads of Light:
Pilgrims of Grace in a Golden Dream
Light and imagination converge—
a hymn, a hum, a hymn.
Saint Paul’s Brrd Roots calls the moon,
its silver gleam, its streams of dreams,
etched with runes that shimmer and shift,
gliding, guiding thoughts that drift.
Silent and radiant, it casts beams that spiral,
threads spun by unseen weavers—
each one breathing, weaving songs long forgotten.
Eight figures emerge, wrapped in reverence.
Shimmering fabric, masks shaped like shades—
they bend beams, gleam beams,
etch whispers, stretch whispers—
fragments of starlight shining, slipping.
Words we know, words we cannot say,
smoke strokes, soft smokes
from the flames of a fire long gone,
warmth lingering, light lingering.
Movements falter, movements persist.
Stillness breathes, stillness seethes, stillness believes.
Eternal, fleeting—
eternal yearning.
Buried truths repeating—
a rhythm of sameness,
a rhythm of regrets:
aching for phrases spoken and unspoken,
echoing dreams, ember gleams,
soft memory, mist memory.
Inside spaces, inside spheres, inside streams of silence.
Performers tread, performers dream, performers gleam.
Pilgrims step softly, souls softly shifting.
Carrying fears, fears near, fears sincere.
Offering shadows cloaked in waters, cloaked in whispers,
reaching clouds carved, clouds stretched and sunlight streaming.
Grace rises, grace sighs, fragile skies.
Dew glimmering, gleam shimmering,
the grass holds, the grace folds.
Relationships flicker, flicker as constellations,
flicker as trembles, flicker as threads—
golden glow, golden spiral, golden endlessness.
Poetic spirals, spirals spinning—half-seen hopes,
half-held hearts, half-spoken halves of reconciliation.
Forgiving shines like fireflies aflame,
glow flows, glow grows—hope glimmers.
Asking forgiveness stretches as dawn steps freeze,
prayers to cracks, cracks waking
like lakes breathing.
Scribbles shift, structures stammer,
waves wander, moonlight murmurs.
Simplicity defied, simplicity disguised,
Simplicity sighs as space invites.
Presence pulses, presence stays,
presence pauses in silent streams.
Lines linger, lines sigh, meditative cries.
Lines carved softly, softly stone carving,
lines are slivers of star rivers, infinity rising.
Lines whisper silence, silence shining—
galaxies bloom as stars swoon.
These promises glow, promises fail, promises sail.
Promises shimmer as desert mirages, promises rise.
Small and mighty, softly and tightly—
morning grace as light spills softly,
grace spills deeply, everything renewed and still.
Each thread ties, threads ties, breaths divine.
Divinity hums, hums to the broken.
Performers extend dreams, their soft pilgrim gleams,
resolution bends, invitations mends.
Softly walking, open softly, softly breathing.
Sacred streams hold failings, sacred gleams,
whole in the brokenness, glowing in aloneness.
Step, step softly through gleam-glowing golden dreams,
step softly through stars bending, stars blending.
Dreams are stars, stars are steps, stars bend—
stars meet stars as stars greet stars.
