In our own Plain Speak ~ ottootto Life ( Ecclesiastes 1 )
What has a purpose? We say. Nothing begins with a
purpose. The majority of us work ourselves to the bone
everywhere on this planet. But at the end of our lives what do we really get from all of the years of hard work? Provided we are fortunate enough or lucky enough to live for many years. Humans and animals die. But the earth
continues and, other than natural annual cycles, it never really changes. The sun rises and sets. And does the
same again the next day. A gentle wind starts up and changes to whatever direction, guided by a sacred or holy spirit. Rivers flow into oceans yet no sea overflows or
becomes too full. Rains get rivers and streams flowing. This reality of our natural world [ God’s creation ] is not so spectacular, because we expect that this will happen.
