We're doing an infant therapy project for mammals who recently got out of cages...
And small elder grandmother protestors released from prison...
Both now uncaged...
Both needing care that doesn't exist yet...
No funding proposal...
No strategic plan with a five-year timeline...
Just... this needs to happen...
Many grandmothers put their bodies in the way of harm...
Get arrested for caring a lot...
Now they're out and someone sitting on a soapbox is asking:
Who here will give them a hug?...
These mammals were belittled...
In spaces that didn't let them move freely...
Now the cell door is open and someone is asking:
How do we help her body and mind feel safe again?...
This artwork is not the march...
not the next speech...
Quiet starts in an outdoor space...
