Brrd Roots ~ Free-Verse ~ Head to Toe in Shiny Amber ~ Warriors of Light in a Mostly Orange Dream

This exhibit, created in collaboration with Saint Paul developer Brrd Roots, takes inspiration from the interplay of humans, light, and imagination. At its core is the moon—an ethereal anchor—and eight performers clad in intricately designed wearables that merge masks, reflective surfaces, and flowing streams of light. These performers move within shimmering dialogues that beam outward, transforming space into a living canvas.

Daily, the performers guide the rhythm of stillness and motion—a choreography that speaks to patterns of change and familiarity. Movements evolve subtly, yet much remains the same. Always the same, in a way that feels quietly significant. Their focus? The interiors of spheres and buildings, spaces that frame humanity's connection with the wild and the unearthly.

The performers interact with untamed animals and beings that defy earthly expectations, creating fleeting but profound connections. Observations are marked with "constants"—clouded curves, poetic images, and fragmented narratives brought to life by Brrd’s creative touch. Scribbles and projections scatter across the environment, resisting linear interpretations and redefining their relationship to space and meaning.

In this world, nothing invites quick comprehension. Concepts are layered, unfolding as invitations to linger and ponder. Evidence exists as fragments—stubborn and multi-dimensional, waiting to be explored. Each performer’s gestures serve as a direct collaboration with slow-forming, deliberate lines of light, creating a space that feels fluid, alive, and rich with possibility.
